We are also pleased to offer them to you when you book a cottage at Hygge en Périgord for your holidays in the Dordogne. Access to the space is included in the price of the "Intimacy" cottage (1 to 2 people).

For reservations for the "Entre Amis" lodgings and the "Maeltri" Villa, access to the space is an optional extra.

The Nordic Bath

Open and heated all year roundwhatever the weather, the Nordic bath is located under a pretty wooden arbor. You are thus protected from the sun and bad weather, winter and summer.

Heated over a wood fire, the Hygge en Périgord Jacuzzi offers a temperature of around 35-38 °, bubbles and hydromassage jets. If we can afford to give our opinion, the best use of the bath would be to soak in its warm waters on a cold winter day, evening or night. There is nothing better to relax and release the tensions of everyday life.

The benefits of hot water from the Jacuzzi are numerous:

- They stimulate the immune system. The Nordic bath is very useful in cases of osteoarthritis, stiffness, asthma or even colds.

- They stimulate the production of endorphins and natural antidepressants in the body, allowing deep relaxation of body and mind.

- They increase the dilation of blood vessels, thus improving blood circulation.

- They dilate the pores of the skin and allow a deep cleansing of the skin, helping to eliminate the toxins which are lodged there. Your skin becomes firmer and more supple.

To make the most of the effects of the Norwegian bath, you can follow the Nordic tradition by alternating 15-20 minutes of a hot Nordic bath (the ideal temperature is between 38 and 40 degrees) with a cold shower (1-3 minutes). Repeat this two or three times. It is the principle of thermotherapy which is also very useful for recovery after physical exertion. Remember to finish with a hot bath for recovery.

The infrared sauna

In the cabin of our infrared sauna, the stove is replaced by infrared heating elements installed at strategic locations. They act by radiation, like the sun, but without ultraviolet emission.

Thanks to a deep penetration of the skin tissues, the infrared heat would cause sweating 3 to 6 times more important than a traditional sauna.Thanks to this strong perspiration, the skin breathes better and its blood supply is improved. Tense muscles, freed of their toxins, soften. The ambient temperature, around 50 ° C, puts less strain on the heart and is more bearable for people sensitive to extreme heat.

The Chalet Cocooning

You will find in this very cozy chalet, with a breathtaking view of the countryside:

- A toilet

- A cocooning corner

- A kitchenette

After a trip to the Nordic bath or sauna, you can relax in a cozy musical atmosphere by relaxing on a sofa or in a barrel-bar placed at your disposal. To warm up you can drink a free cup of coffee or tea.

Depending on the formula you choose and the time at which you will visit us, we will have the pleasure of making you taste champagne, or wine accompanied by savory or sweet delicacies.

A mini-bar will be at your disposal with the possibility of buying beer, wine, champagne, fruit juice, sodas ...
